This week has been spectacular, and glorious!

In Social Studies and Language Arts we started reading Chapter 10 of Ticket to Curlew. We plan to finish it next week.

We also analyzed two persuasive letters. We had to highlight the introduction with green, highlight the three reasons that supported the opinion with yellow and highlight the conclusion with pink.

Then we pretended to be a settler coming to Alberta, and are writing a letter to our families to persuade them that it was a good choice to move to Alberta.

This week in Science we reflected on our building experience, such as how far our vehicle moved, was I supportive of other peers, if we used our plan to guide our building and if we reflected throughout our building. Lastly we used the rubric to assess ourselves.

In Math we made our own multiplication problems. We may have added in some addition and subtraction, depending on the problem.

Next week we will be having a multiplication check-in. Please check your email for a link to our multiplication strategies and practice questions.

Last Thursday, Katelyn, Albert and Turner (from Ms. Pasion's class) shared a special presentation with us about Fibonacci. We learned about the Fibonacci sequence; this is a math sequence that builds and keeps expanding upon itself. It is endless!

We also showed our Panorama Hills School spirit today!

Our spelling pattern next week:
Form the possessive of a plural ending in s by adding just an apostrophe, as in armiesarmies’. If the plural does not end in s, form its possessive by adding an apostrophe and s, as in menmen’s

Here are a few examples:
passengers’
armies’
families’
thieves’
ranches’
benches’
umpires’
airlines’
dresses’
hostesses’
banjos’
pianos’
mens'
childrens'
bodies’
daisies’
televisions’
members’
governments’
businesses’
